Tune: Eric Bogle, "Nobody's Moggy"
Somebody's lawyer by the side of the road;
Someone's attorney who forgot his highway code;
Someone's favorite counselor who ran clean out of luck,
When he ran into the road and tried to sue a moving truck.
Once he played with other people's bucks as his career;
Dispossessing orphan kids and shedding not a tear.
Now he's just a pile of road-kill that the skunks will not go near.
He's nobody's lawyer now.
So you who love your shyster, be sure to keep him in.
Don't let him argue with a truck, the truck is bound to win?
And keep him off the highway when he chases after fees.
If you do I'm warning you there'll be contingencies.
Should a truck approach a lawyer, he'll dismiss it with a snort:
"I'll have you up on charges and I'll see you all in court!"
Then your lawyer will be slightly dead and very, very short.
He's nobody's lawyer now.
