Today's workout involved weights again, though my left arm still ached from Wednesday's workout, so I used less weight on the left side. I didn't cramp up while stretching afterward, so I guess my abdominal muscles are adjusting. Yesterday I just did half an hour on the treadmill and some stretching.
Oh, and happy Gregorian New Year, everybody. Chris and I wound up spending the Eve at home, watching rented videos. We finally got to see Fargo, which was really good. I think I've now seen every Cohen brothers movie except for Miller's Crossing and Blood Simple.
I also rented a video of The Maxx, an animated adaptation of Sam Keith's comic book done as a series for MTV. It looked like a very faithful adaptation, with some of the artwork scanned directly from the comic. This was a two-hour video, so if the episodes were half an hour long each, this was four of them, probably the first four. Hard to tell, because they were edited to run right into each other without any breaks between to establish where one episode ended and another began, and the nature of the storytelling meant it wasn't always easy to tell from the events. This made it a bit awkward to watch, because it felt like watching one badly-paced movie instead of four episodes. Chris fell asleep in the middle.
